General Conditions

These general conditions form a legally binding contract between the customer and Arabic Translators as for the supplying of translation, advice, software or Web location and DTP services.

The service will be supplied by Arabic Translators and the price will be calculated following the quotation terms and prices. The quotation will expire in 30 (thirty) days. The basic unity we use to calculate the price is a page, i.e. a typewritten, 1500 characters (spaces included) page. You must add the VAT to the quotation. In any case the minimum invoicing corresponds to one page.

• Order letter: Arabic Translators will do the job by following its standard procedures and translating the technical terms on the basis of their usual and conventional meaning or on the basis of glossaries previously approved by the customer. The material sent by the customer must be legible and delivered to Arabic Translators in the format and time that Arabic Translators agreed with the customer. Arabic Translator is not responsible for possible delivering delays due to a wrong or delayed material supply or non-supply from the customer. The project must be ordered by order letter or equivalent document that presents the due sum and the delivery and payment terms.
• Text changes or additions requested by the customer: Any change or addition to the material supplied by the customer must be presented by highlighting clearly the modifications of the previous copy. We will give the customer an estimate of the additional time and cost before modifying the text; this estimate must be approved by the customer.
• Corrections: Arabic Translators will correct possible mistakes and omissions free of charge. The customer agrees that Arabic Translators is not responsible for any possible translation mistake if these mistakes are not reported to them within 30 (thirty) days from the date of the translation delivery to the customer. If the customer does not report the errors to Arabic Translators within thirty days, Arabic Translators will only correct the mistakes free of charge.
• Final translation delivery terms: The delivery terms are binding only if clearly expressed and apply only to the delivered material on job acceptance. The translation delivery or collection via non telematic means are completely at customer’s expense. If Arabic Translators cannot do the job owing to documented circumstances beyond its control, the agency can give up the job without any compensation.
• Conditions of payment: The terms of payment the customer must follow are those reported in the quotation; when the payment date expires, the moratory interests provided by Article 5.1 in the Legislative Decree of October 9^th 2002, n.231 will be applied. In case of significant works the customer will give the agency a deposit: the deposit amount must be settled between the customer and the agency on the quotation acceptance.
• Privacy: The nature of the job and any information about it given from the customer to Arabic Translators will be kept under the highest privacy. Without the previous, written permission of the customer Arabic Translators cannot disclose the information to the public or to a third party, except the authorized agency collaborators whose help is necessary to complete the job. These guarantees are not applied if Arabic Translators is bound by law to reveal the information or if the information are or become common knowledge, apart from the fact that Arabic Translators disclose it. If the customer confirms and then revokes a job, the customer will pay the agency a cancellation penalty corresponding to the 15% of the total amount; the job already done will be given to the customer and will be fully paid.
• Place of jurisdiction: According to the Article 1341 of the Italian Civil Code, any possible dispute regarding this contract will be judged only by the Law Courts in Rome (Republic of Italy).

I allow the agency to use my private data according to the Italian Privacy Law 675/96.
